Fermentation & The Microbiome

  • Seward Co-op Friendship Store 317 East 38th Street Minneapolis, Minnesota, 55409 United States (map)

Fall is fermentation time! Please join me for an interactive workshop exploring the connections between fermentation, microbes, food, and human health. We’ll discuss the science and cultural history of fermentation, while creating our own tasty sauerkraut.

This workshop is designed for curious beginners, food and science lovers, and anyone interested in learning more about the invisible microbial worlds that shape both our environments and our bodies. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of fermentation and the microbiome, practical skills for home fermentation, and will create a sauerkraut with herbs and spices to take home. Through conversation and hands-on learning as a community, this workshop invites us to think differently about health, ecology, and our relationships with the microbial world. Workshop will take place at the Seward Co-op Friendship store. All workshop materials are provided. Please register HERE to reserve your spot.
